Cool Off in the Last Days of Summer
It’s time of year again when those long, summer days start to get cooler – and shorter. It was an unusually cold August, but September is looking to heat things up again, at least until the leaves start turning colors.
Enjoy the final warm days of summer with these cool and refreshing foods and drinks at Catch 35.
Fresh seafood
Nothing is more refreshing to the soul and cooling to the tongue than fresh seafood. Try our Yellowfin Tuna, prepared sashimi style, for an especially tasty summer treat. See it prepared here. Quickly fried for 10 seconds on each side with sesame seed and ginger, it may be crispy on the outside, but boy is it tender and delicious on the inside.
Check out our wine list
There’s something about a cool glass of merlot that just says summer to us. Check out our extensive wine list – with location information as well – and prepare to cool off with friends while sipping a nice white or red wine. You can see the line list on our website.
Fresh, cold desserts
Of course, there’s nothing more cooling than delicious, fresh dessert. We have ice cream, sorbet and pudding – sure to be the perfect cap to a hot September evening.
While it sounds like it would be hot, you won’t mind what the temperature is when getting our flourless chocolate lava cake. Served with a chocolate hazelnut center, raspberry sauce and creme anglaise, pair this delicious treat with Taylor Fladgate 20 yr. Tawny to complete the experience.
Double down on the hot
If you want to truly kick off the end of a hot summer in the spirit of summer itself, you can always double-down on the hot factor by going spicy or steamy for lunch. Check out our sriracha buffalo shrimp, served with wasabi ranch, for a truly mouth- (and eye-) watering summer dish.
Our steaming hot pad thai is also sure to raise the temperature even higher. Try it with vegetable, chicken, or our favorite – shrimp.
Check out more summer meals
