New Year’s Resolutions-Kick off 2019 with healthy eating!
It’s been a fun celebration of indulgence during the holiday season but now it’s time to make those New Year resolutions. Healthy eating usually tops the list this time of year and Catch 35 is here to guide you! Let’s take a look at a few new additions and how our chef incorporates healthy eating into our menus.
New Menu Additions:
Icelandic Cod with a panko parsley crust, butter beans, and olive oil.
This new addition has been an important economic food since the Viking period. Lean with a mild flavor and large flaky tender texture, Icelandic cod is a perfect introductory seafood. If you are already a seafood lover, the preparation our chef has added with creamy butter beans is a perfect option for healthy eating in the New Year. Icelandic cod is low in calories and fat-high in protein and a good source of omega 3’s. The butter beans paired with this mellow and sweet fish are also known as lima beans. Butter beans are a major source of protein, fiber, iron, and B vitamins. The braised butter beans melt in your mouth with each bite. This dish is a great healthy alternative but also rustic and satisfying during the colder months.
Ecuadorian Mahi Mahi with sweet potato puree, green beans, and oyster mushrooms.
Mild and sweet with moist flakes, Mahi Mahi is low in saturated fat and a good source of B vitamins. The fish is enriched with a creamy puree of fiber filled sweet potatoes. The addition of oyster mushrooms adds a layer of richness to the dish.
Branzino served whole with Thai chili sauce.
Branzino is a delicate, flaky white sweet fish with a few small bones. It is best served whole to highlight the delicate texture of the fish. Our chef pairs it with a Thai chili sauce-a delicious balance of sweet & spicy. Branzino is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, protein, and antioxidants.
If you have an aversion to eating your greens, check out the way in which Catch 35’s chef incorporates them into our dishes-you will have no problem getting your daily dose at Catch 35. Spinach is known to be full of health benefits. At Catch 35, we offer French lentils with mushrooms and spinach as a ‘Great Addition’ to any of our entrees. A great option for healthy eating filled with fiber, protein, and antioxidants but the creamy savory flavor of the dish will have you craving more.
Lastly, the healthy eating options doesn’t stop there at Catch 35 Chicago and Naperville. Our kitchen takes all dietary allergies seriously. Whether you diet is gluten free or you have a food allergy of some kind, alert your server to ensure that all of your needs are met.
