Catch 35: A Proud Fresh Seafood Restaurant in Chicago

Chicago is packed with great restaurants. Let’s face it, tourists come to Chicago for the food as much as our great entertainment sports and culture. We local foodies have many great options, no matter the style of fare.

Any regular at Catch 35 will tell you we are an exemplary Seafood Restaurant in Chicago. We offer great steak, seafood, salads, desserts, and much more. But the heart of Catch 35 has always been as a fresh seafood restaurant.

Fresh Seafood in Chicago and the Midwest

In the Midwest, it’s widely assumed that seafood can’t be as fresh as on the coast.

Well, it’s not easy, but we have our ways! Check out our story of “A Scallop’s Journey” that tells a great story.

At Catch 35, we get our seafood at a premium. We know what’s good and what’s seasonal. Our standards are high. Our customers know this, and that’s why they keep coming back. If we don’t offer the best fresh seafood in town, we won’t stay in business.

Seasonal Specials

Great seafood in Chicago is about quality, not convenience. What we mean is that we know what fish are in season and best for our customers.

For example, Maryland Soft shell crab from the Chesapeake is known to produce by far the best soft shell crab. The farther south you go towards the Gulf of Mexico, the longer soft shell crab season you may have. We prefer the quality of Chesapeake soft shell crab therefore our season is shorter (usually only 3 months long).

Some of our other seasonal seafood specials include Alaskan Halibut or Georges Bank Cod and Block Island Swordfish. We let our customers know when these are in season though our email list. You can sign up here.

Fish aren’t the only item we carry seasonally. We even look for the best complementary sides that are freshest as well. Here’s a little insight from our blog on seasonal veggies.

If you haven’t checked out Catch 35, we invite you to visit. There is a downtown Chicago location as well as downtown Naperville. See you soon!
